A lifetime behind the camera. Now it sings.
s’gpor is a one-person studio in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where twenty years of portrait photography meets music and motion.
Computer-generatedMike Bell.
Mike has photographed people since the mid-2000s: seniors and families, musicians and dancers, characters at Renaissance faires and Civil War reenactments. You’ll find that work in the gallery.
s’gpor (song, portrait, motion) is where it goes next. One relaxed session captures a voice and a portrait. From there come finished songs in your own voice, portraits worth framing, and Encore films that bring a family’s photographs back to life. All of it can arrive in a keepsake box.
We use AI tools where they help, and we’re open about it. Mike’s own portraits on this site are computer-generated from his reference photos, and the voice on every song is his own.
How we label our work.
Made with a camera by Mike. Edited the way photographers always have (light, color, retouching), never invented.
A real photograph that an AI tool helped enlarge, sharpen or clean up. The moment and the person are real.
Made with AI tools from reference photos, like Mike’s own studio portraits, the scenes of him singing and the living portraits. We say so every time.
You own it
Songs and photographs are yours outright on payment in full. No royalties, no splits, no rights kept.
Consent first
Voice work begins only after the person whose voice is modeled signs a consent and release.
Private
Your recordings, voice model and photos stay on our own secured systems and are never used to train anything else.
Honest labels
We tell you what is a photograph and what is computer-generated, here and in everything we deliver.
Tell us who it’s for, the occasion and the date. Mike reads every message himself. Studio sessions are in La Crosse by appointment; Encore films can be ordered from anywhere.
